Seoul is launching a closed test run featuring the virtual reconstruction of Seoul city hall and the Seoul Plaza, where participants can participate in interactive activities and games. The official first stage of the Metaverse Seoul is planned to launch at the end of November this year.

Meta, Qualcomm sign pact on custom virtual reality chips
On Sep 2, Meta Platforms Inc (META.O) signed an agreement to have chip-maker Qualcomm Inc (QCOM.O) produce custom chipsets for its Quest virtual reality (VR) devices. Meta has been investing heavily in technologies like pass-through goggles and augmented reality glasses as it tries to bring to life Zuckerberg’s vision for the metaverse.
